We have Kin for our homeowners. We called them to report water damage and mold in our bathroom on April 6th. We found and stopped the apparent leak on the 5th. Kin advised they were going to send an adjuster and we hired a mold mitigation company to inspect the mold. On April 11th, the Mold Guyz arrived and did their inspection and found that we had three types of mold growth. On April 12th (the 7th day after we called), Kin's adjuster arrived. He did his inspection, asked a few questions and then left. During his inspection, before he was finished, he made a suspicious comment about not hiring our contractor just in case. Today, Kin called and said our claim denied. They said it was because the adjuster wrote in his report that my wife told him that we had a prolonged leak and that the mold growth was more than 14 days worth. The problem is that we have video in our house and the conversation was recorded. My wife never said the leak was prolonged and he never even asked how long it was there. His claim was a flat out lie. And, according to the Mold Guyz inspector, it is impossible to determine how long mold was growing because there are a number of factors that determine growth. Since the room was still humid and the area was still saturated with moisture even 6 days after the leak was stopped, the mold was still growing. The mold expert said the adjuster could not know how long the mold was growing for and any estimate would be a wild guess. So our claim was denied based on two lies. The adjuster clearly already decided that he was going to help get Kin off the hook before the work was finished. I sent them the video and they haven't responded to it. As of right now, I still have active mold growth in my bathroom and the work is going to get worse the longer they wait.

The people at the company were an absolute pleasure to work with and they were very prompt. They gave the best customer service I could ask for. I just wish you had car insurance also I would be sold on it already. Thank Kin for everything The prices were more reasonable than I have seen anywhere
